Description

The Gracetown Project has been designed to become Australia’s most environmentally sustainable coastal development. Appling numerous technical and urban design innovations to significantly reduce its development footprint and water and energy consumption whilst harmonising and integrating with the surrounding National Park.

The Gracetown Project includes a water reclamation plant, wind turbines, solar array, CETO wave power to create an entirely off-grid residential estate (300 residential dwellings and 50 key eco-tourism facility) , with excess water used to water public open space and purifies a contaminated aquifer. All developments will be powered by solar panels, green power and wind turbines and designed to meet a minimum 5-star energy rating to reduce energy consumption significantly.


Gracetown’s innovative subdivision layout preserved 60% of the natural vegetation without compromising lot yields, negated adverse earthworks, dedicated pedestrian green links, community gardens, a fitness circuit and an aboriginal/environmental interpretive walkway.
