An innovative regeneration project converted the heritage-listed Bunbury Silo's structure into an innovative mixed-use residential, hotel and commercial development. The Project includes 70 hotel rooms, three restaurants, three commercial tenancies, Day Spa, Silo Museum, 30 residential Apartments and 4 Luxury Penthouse Suites. The Silo's Hotel was awarded the Best Hotel opening in 2000.

This Project required extensive negotiations between the Heritage Council, Developer, LandCorp and City of Bunbury and creative incentives, development bonuses, and concessions to transform the dilapidated structure.   The completed Project has been recognised for its innovative design while respecting Silo's heritage integrity.

The planning and implementation of this Project required a proactive and creative approach, particularly as the retention and restoration of Silo's structure were seen as a significant impediment to redevelopment.
